Speak Easy Headset
The Speak Easy headset was designed specifically for officials who need reliable, easy-to-use communication on the field. Our original headset combines a large, discreet push-to-talk button with a comfortable headset design that makes speaking with your crew fast, simple, and convenient.
The push-to-talk button mounts securely to your belt, allowing you to communicate without fumbling for your radio. The headset design separates the microphone and acoustic tube cables, making it easier to wear and eliminating the frustration of managing a single wire running from your chest to your ear.
Built for field use, the push-to-talk button is sealed and IP67 rated, making it resistant to dust and water. It is made with heavy-duty 10-gauge wire to help resist damage from pulling, tugging, and regular game-day use.
New for 2026: Speak Easy Modular Headset System
The next generation of the Speak Easy system is coming soon.
The new Speak Easy Modular Headset System uses the same rugged push-to-talk concept, but gives officials more flexibility. Instead of being limited to one headset style, the modular system allows you to use one push-to-talk button with multiple headset options.
1 button. 3 ways to connect. Pick your headset.
Available headset options will include:
Boom mic
Over-the-ear headset
In-ear acoustic tube and microphone
This allows each official to choose the headset style that best fits their position, comfort preference, and communication needs while still using the same Speak Easy push-to-talk system.
The original Speak Easy headset remains a great option for officials who prefer the traditional acoustic tube setup. The new modular version is designed for officials who want more flexibility and the ability to switch between headset styles.
FAQ
Will this work with my radio?
We currently offer Speak Easy headsets with connectors for Midland radios and K1 connections upon request
The new modular Speak Easy system is being developed around Midland FRS radio compatibility.
Can I use this with Retevis / Baofang Radios?
During prototyping, our headset was tested with Retevis brand radios. We found that the lower audio quality of those radios became more noticeable when paired with a higher-quality headset, and static was more prevalent. For that reason, we highly recommend against using a Midland or Motorola radio, but we do have compatible headsets upon request.
We strongly believe this product performs best when paired with a quality radio. We recommend Midland T71 or T51 model radios.
To learn more about radio compatibility and radio security and how to make mildand radios work with Retevis, please see the video at the bottom of this page.
